We hired Groupe Renaissance in 2014 to do a major extension to our house (build a two-story building connected to our house- 1600 ft2), and were so happy with their services that we contracted them again in 2023 for a second addition (build a second floor on the original building - 1000 ft2). Both times we were extremely impressed with their friendliness, reliability, attention to detail, and determination to do everything to our exacting specifications.
They were in charge of every step of the process, and coordinated with various subcontractors to get things done on time and on budget. Both times the final bill was very close to the initial estimate. They even performed a bit of extra work that was outside the scope of the initial agreement. At all times they were patient with explaining what work needed to be done, thought carefully about what different options could be available, and worked with us to make the home exactly the way we wanted it.
For the second renovation that happened in the wake of the COVID pandemic they were very proactive about sourcing material. We heard stories about other contractors failing to meet timelines, but Groupe Renaissance met the original schedule.
The work was done to very professional standards. The finished house looks great, and was constructed properly. Their expertise in all areas of home construction is top notch.
We found them very flexible and responsive, even when we had last-minute changes. It was easy to contact them, and we always felt that they were very engaged with our project. Jocelyn and Sylvain are kind, trustworthy people who went above and beyond to give us the home of our dreams. We unhesitatingly recommend them to anyone looking to renovate their house.
